Question: How long was Y&R in development prior to their March 26, 1973 premiere?
ReplyDelete@GroverCleveland - I believe the story is that Bill and his wife Lee developed the bible for the show over a three-week period during the Summer of 1972 when they locked themselves up in a bungalow at the Beverly Hills Hotel. In any event, the 65-page outline they presented to CBS execs to green-light the project was dated September 25, 1972.
