DAYTIME RATINGS: Y&R, B&B, GH, DAYS All Down In Total Viewers

The daytime Nielsen ratings are in for the week of February 25-March 1, 2013. All four daytime soap operas were down in Total Viewers after all four were up the previous week and all four were down the week before that. Notice a trend?

Total Viewers (versus last week/versus same week last year)
1. THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS 4,614,000 (-112,000/+261,000)
2. THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL 3,558,000 (-67,000/+459,000)
3. GENERAL HOSPITAL 2,765,000 (-120,000/+362,000)
4. DAYS OF OUR LIVES 2,517,000 (-217,000/-31,000)

Women 18-49 Viewers
1. THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS 897,000 (+9,000/+27,000)
2. THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL 750,000 (-3,000/+65,000)
3. GENERAL HOSPITAL 672,000 (+2,000/+15,000)
4. DAYS OF OUR LIVES 547,000 (-73,000/-25,000)

Y&R and GH have increased in Women 18-34 viewers in consecutive weeks.

Women 18-34 Viewers
1. THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS 224,000 (+19,000/+16,000)
2. GENERAL HOSPITAL 219,00 (+18,000/+47,000)
3. THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL 175,000 (-11,000/-23,000)
4. DAYS OF OUR LIVES 168,000 (-26,000/-15,000)

  1. Strange DAYS lost almost everything they gained the week before. Even there beloved target group 18-49! Yay for Y&R and GH they keep on truckin’ but then they both are amazing shows!

  3. Primetime ratings have been a mess lately too. AC Nielsen really needs to find a way to get better results. I swear I never met one single person who's ever watched NCIS and I work in entertainment. On the other hand, everyone I know watches DALLAS - and it's holding on for dear life. What gives?
