On this date in...

1973: On THE GUIDING LIGHT, family and friends said goodbye to Papa Bauer.



1975: NBC announced it was canceling HOW TO SURVIVE A MARRIAGE in order to expand DAYS OF OUR LIVES to an hour.

1976: On ANOTHER WORLD, having terrible abdominal pains, Rachel (Victoria Wyndham) called Iris and begged to speak with Mac. Iris refused at first and then Rachel collapsed followed by one of Iris's famous lines: "Rachel? Oh, really, Rachel... that girl has no manners."

1980: On THE EDGE OF NIGHT, Raven (Sharon Gabet) showed up at Draper's murder trial as a way of getting back into April's life.



1986: On SEARCH FOR TOMORROW, the residents of Henderson fought for their lives after a devastating flood.



2001: On ONE LIFE TO LIVE, Ben tried to comfort Skye who was upset after learning she was Rae Cummings daughter.

2008: On DAYS OF OUR LIVES, Kimberly returned for Shawn's funeral.

  1. The actress who played Heather's Mother is still alive. I thought abou her when Heather lost SL. Her whole family is gone.

  5. I remember Rachel collapsing like it was yesterday. I was screaming at Iris! Like she could hear me through the television. Or like she would care LOL.

    Thanks again for including the Papa Bauer funeral service clips on this board. Also, thanks for including this found & recovered entire 30-minute episode & packaging it on the Guiding Light-Bauer Family Story DVD Set. This episode was broadcast on the CBS-TV Network when I was a 17-year-old high school senior in Chicago, Illinois. Thanks Again, Roger!
