NASHVILLE continues its first season with a new episode on Wednesday, January 23 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.

In "You Win Again," Edgehill Records celebrates the success of "Wrong Song" with a lavish party attended by Rayna, Juliette and real-life country stars including Brantley Gilbert and Chris Young (who cameo as themselves). But the party gets awkward for Juliette, who brings her mom along, and for Rayna when she's aggressively pursued by Calista (Ming-Na Wen), an exec from a competing record label.

Meanwhile Teddy confronts Rayna about his suspicions over her relationship with Liam, Gunnar deals with family issues and Avery gets too comfortable with his newfound success.

Watch a sneak peek below:

"You Win Again" was written by Liz Tigelaar and directed by Paul Edwards.

ABC Music Lounge's NASHVILLE-inspired docu-web series, ON THE RECORD, is live at www.abc.com/musiclounge with the original song, "One Works Better," co-written by Tofer Brown, Natalie Hemby, Rosi Golan and Kate York and performed by Clare Bowen as Scarlett O'Connor and Sam Palladio as Gunnar Scott. "One Works Better" was a collaborative effort written over two days by four of Nashville's favorite songwriters.

"ON THE RECORD: One Works Better" goes behind the scenes with the song's co-writers, Tofer Brown, Natalie Hemby, Rosi Golan and Kate York. Interviews with Callie Khouri (creator/executive producer) and the song's performer's, Clare Bowen (Scarlett O'Connor) and Sam Palladio (Gunnar Scott), reveal how songs chosen for the episode fortuitously share the characters' sentiment and tell the same story.

"You know we're not really in the business of putting out songs that specifically match the action, but I just thought, since these are characters writing songs about where they are in their lives, you know, obviously this was just a very natural fit," said Khouri.

"It's a big turning point for Scarlett. It's really her, kind of, part of her recovery process," added Clare Bowen

"I think what I love about this show is that they actually highlight the lyrics and the songwriting process, and as a songwriter, to me that's the most exciting thing," shared Rosie Golan.

  1. My wife LOVES this show, and though I haven't really gotten into it, she watches every week. I work late at DISH most nights, so my primetime stuff is all recorded for me. I got the DISH Hopper because of PrimeTime Anytime; PTAT records the entire primetime lineup from all four major networks. We come home and watch live TV together for a while, but when we are ready to watch our shows, we go to our own little spots. It's nice that the Hopper records everything for us; it's perfect for working families who are short on time.
