PRETTY LITTLE LIARS' Mona Will Tweet During Tuesday's Premiere

PRETTY LITTLE LIARS fans get a special treat on Tuesday, January 8 when the show’s nemesis, Mona Vanderaal, sends clues to fans via Twitter and on-air snipes during the premieres of PRETTY LITTLE LIARS (8 p.m. ET/PT) and THE LYING GAME (9 p.m. ET/PT). Coming from the Twitter handle @MonaVanderwaal, fans will need to decode Mona’s tweets to unlock a secret video featuring footage not seen in the premiere episode.

In addition, the ABC Family Tweetapalooza schedule (talent and schedule subject to change):

7 p.m.: Live Blog Party with Keegan Allen at www.abcfamily.com/prettylittleliars
8 p.m.: Live Twitter Chat with Keegan Allen @KeeganAllen
8 p.m.: Live Blog Party with Alexandra Chando at www.abcfamily.com/thelyinggame
9 p.m.: Live Twitter Chat with Alexandra Chando @AlexandraChando

In the mid-season premiere of PRETTY LITTLE LIARS, airing Tuesday, January 8th at 8:00 pm ET/PT, Radley Sanitarium has given Mona a clean bill of health and she is headed back to the halls of Rosewood High, much to the Liars’ dismay. With their former tormentor now back in their everyday life, Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer take very different views of the “new” Mona. She made their lives a living hell… Is she really cured? And what other secrets could she be holding onto? It’s up to Mona to prove to the Liars if she has changed or not. Keegan Allen stars as Toby, Spencer’s boyfriend and a secret member of the “A” Team.

PRETTY LITTLE LIARS is produced by Alloy Entertainment in association with Warner Horizon Television and is executive produced by I. Marlene King, Oliver Goldstick, Leslie Morgenstein and Joseph Dougherty. The series stars Troian Bellisario, Ashley Benson, Tyler Blackburn, Holly Marie Combs, Lucy Hale, Ian Harding, Laura Leighton, Chad Lowe, Shay Mitchell, Janel Parrish and Sasha Pieterse.

The “lies” continue in the Season 2 premiere of THE LYING GAME Tuesday, January 8th at 9:00 pm ET/PT. Alec is in jail following his arrest for Derek’s murder, but he still manages to unnerve Emma (Alexandra Chando), who is desperate for answers. Rebecca and Sutton’s mother-daughter bonding consists of formulating their plans for the Mercer family, which contradicts Emma and Laurel’s plan to reunite Ted and Kristin. Meanwhile, Mads goes looking for trouble and meets a mysterious new guy.

  1. I can’t believe that they let Mona out, but it will definitely make Pretty Little Liars more interesting this season. Unfortunately I missed this premiere episode (and Mona’s tweets) because I was working late at DISH last night. I’ll catch it on my DISH Hopper when I get home today, though. I set it to record Pretty Little Liars’ entire season along with all my other shows since it can store up to 2000 hours of entertainment, so it will be easy for me to catch the premiere and any other episodes I miss in the future.
