"On the Record: Sideshow" goes behind the scenes with the song's co-writers, Aaron Scherz and Brad Turi. "'Sideshow' was one of those that came in the hundreds of thousands of songs that we heard," said Soler.

"I sent it over to the producers. They thought it would be great for Deacon," added Pine.

"In the pilot, he [Deacon] says, 'How come you never sang any of my songs?,' and she [Rayna] said, 'Cuz sometimes I just think they're all about me.' And they are, and this is one that is a perfect example," Khouri said.

The soundtrack for NASHVILLE, which is getting rave reviews from music critics nationwide, includes the following tracks: "Buried Under," performed by Connie Britton; "If I Didn't Know Better," performed by Sam Palladio and Clare Bowen; "Undermine," performed by Hayden Panettiere and Charles Esten; "Sideshow," performed by Charles Esten; "Wrong Song," performed by Connie Britton and Hayden Panettiere; "No One Will Ever Love You," performed by Connie Britton and Charles Esten; "Twist of Barbwire," performed by Jonathan Jackson; "Love Like Mine," performed by Hayden Panettiere; "Telescope," performed by Lennon Stella and Maisy Stella; "When the Right One Comes Along," performed by Clare Bowen and Sam Palladio; and "Telescope" (Radio Remix), performed by Hayden Panettiere.
