On this date in...

1957: On THE EDGE OF NIGHT, Mike (John Larkin) realized Billy's blood type was not a match for Roger or Mary.

1964: Geoffrey Lumb made his first appearance in ANOTHER WORLD as Mitchell Dru in a crossover from P&G's AS THE WORLD TURNS.  He had previously played the character on THE BRIGHTER DAY before joining ATWT and then AW.   He remained on AW until 1971.  Lumb died in 1990 at age 85.

1965: On DAYS OF OUR LIVES, Ben (Robert Knapp) disciplined Julie after her shoplifting arrest.



1981: On GENERAL HOSPITAL, Laura (Genie Francis) and Luke (Anthony Geary) made plans to go to Mexico so she could get a divorce, and they could be married.



1981: Michael Medeiros debuted as Bernie Stokes in TEXAS.

1983: On GUIDING LIGHT, Eli told Annabelle (Harley Jane Kozak) he was seeking revenge because of her.



1996: Felicia Minei Behr's run as executive producer of AS THE WORLD TURNS began. She was replaced by Chris Goutman in June 1999.

1998: Paul Anthony Stewart debuted as Danny Santos in GUIDING LIGHT.

2008: On AS THE WORLD TURNS, Sage locked Janet in the closet then accused Janet (Julie Pinson) of hitting her.



2011: We Love Soaps hosted the New York Premiere of indie soap RIVER RIDGE at the Tribeca Film Center with cast members Signy Coleman, Jon Prescott, Beth Ehlers and more in attendance.
