Tuesday Night Ratings: PARENTHOOD Up, HART OF DIXIE Down, PRIVATE PRACTICE Steady

The overnights are in for Tuesday, October 9. Below is a roundup of Nielsen ratings reports:

From ABC:
During the 10 o’clock hour, ABC’s PRIVATE PRACTICE outdelivered NBC’s PARENTHOOD for the 3rd week running, leading the NBC drama by 1.1 million viewers.

ABC’s PRIVATE PRACTICE grew week to week in Total Viewers (+2%) and Adults 18-34 (+10%), while holding 100% of its Adult 18-49 audience.

· Based on early DVR playback for the new season, PRIVATE PRACTICE is seeing big spikes from its Live + Same Day numbers to Live + 3 Day numbers, shooting up by 1.8 million viewers and by 50% in Adults 18-49 on its most recent telecast.

On NBC, THE VOICE earned a 4.4, way up from last week's a 3.0 adults 18-49 rating (for the auditions recap episode) and a three-week Tuesday high. GO ON scored a 2.8, up seven tenths from last week's 2.1 18-49 rating and also a three week high. THE NEW NORMAL garnered a 2.0, up three tenths from last week's 1.7 among adults 18-49. PARENTHOOD notched a 2.0, up four tenths from last week's 1.6 adults 18-49 rating and a season high.

On the CW, HART OF DIXIE scored a 0.4, down three tenths from last week's 0.7 adults 18-49 rating.
