On this date in...

1970: THE BEST OF EVERYTHING, a short-lived ABC daytime soap, aired its final episode just shy of six months after it debuted. Watch a promo for the show below:



1988: Actor Francis De Sales died at age 76. He played Rusty Lincoln in DAYS OF OUR LIVES in the 1960s and returned in 1971 to play James Spencer.

1996: Sami and Austin got married on DAYS OF OUR LIVES.



2006: On GUIDING LIGHT, Reva and Josh were stuck in a garage.



2011: DIRTY SOAP premiered on E!  The Nielsen ratings for the show were so low E! decided not to renew it.
