1918: Future soap legend Larry Haines, best remembered for his 35 year role as Stu on SEARCH FOR TOMORROW, was born. Haines died on July 17, 2008 at age 89.

1922: Schenectady, New York radio station WGY aired a staged dramatic play for the first time. This tryout was a hit which led to weekly studio broadcasts of full-length stage plays.

1978: On ANOTHER WORLD, Susan threw Liz out when she harped on Olive and Dan.

1984: Eileen Fulton returned to AS THE WORLD TURNS as Lisa. Lisa arrived home and found husband Whit McColl's dead body.

1993: On AS THE WORLD TURNS, Margo was raped.

2005: On GENERAL HOSPITAL, Monica read AJ's confession letter from 10 years earlier.

2008: ANOTHER WORLD alum Morgan Freeman was injured in a car accident in Ruleville, Mississippi.

  3. One more time....YES I remember that day well!!! The real Lisa returned, regardless who played Lisa, temp or sub for Eileen....there was and is only ONE Lisa...Eileen Fulton. So happy they killed Whit off, I hated that husband for Lisa. I did like the dynamic it brought for Lisa intermixing with so many of the young cast...Marcy, Stewart, Kirt, Diana, Frannie etc.
