WATCH: DARKSIDE OF THE BAY, Part 2

Tensions run high on the second installment of Emmy-nominated THE BAYs summer special, DARKSIDE OF THE BAY. Call girl Orchid (Terri Ivens) has questionable intentions for a determined Peter Garrett (Kristos Andrews); Will Campbell (Derrell Whitt) does some quick thinking as Lianna Ramos (Jade Harlow) shares a private moment with Matthew Johnson (Rib Hillis); pesky reporter Nathan Perkins (Scott Bailey) finds trouble with fellow reporter Zoey Johnson (Taylor Stanley); and bad guy Chase Walker (Brian Gaskill) raises questions of his own. Watch all the drama unfold below:

  4. Love, love love, the DARKSIDE of THE BAY! So wish the episodes were LONGER because these cliffhangers are nerve racking! I want to see MORE! The creativity of the edgy music, spooky fonts, dark color tones, and the new shady characters REALLY make this special live up to its title!! I also love seeing familiar guest stars in this web drama. This is such a WONDERFUL treat as we all anxiously await the start of the next season of THE BAY.

  8. Gregori and cast are doing a superb job of keeping us on the edge of our seats. The Darkside is truly Dark. Brian, Terri and Rib are great additions, I hope they continue on into season 3. Impatiently waiting for next Thursday to arrive.

  9. I love the credits for this, they're telling the story just enough. Your camera angles are so creative and just perfectly chosen, I love watching every one of these webisodes just to see how you're going to edit it together and how you framed your shots. I'm geeky like that. I have to comment on Derrell, he's so good as Will. *so* *good*. And while we only saw a sliver of Zoey, Taylor has the ability to just draw you in and make you believe with a singular look. So effective. Lighting is gorgeous. Not happy with whatever Lianna's doing. What, exactly, is she doing? Loving the blonde eyeliner guy. You look at him, and you say, uh oh.

And I have to mention last week's product placement -- a BRAVO for it. People who don't like product placement have to suck it up and get on board, cuz it's only going to increase. The qeustion is will it increase in a way that makes you want to crawl under your desk in embarrassment for the writers, directors, and actors? Or will it increase in a way like what you gave us with Corona last week? If the former, then save me a place under the desk. If the latter, then I'm all in. Make it part of the story in a way that is native to it, orgnaic, unforced, and completely logical to the scene. That's the way. Nice job.
