1969: On ANOTHER WORLD, Dru (Geoffrey Lumb) told Alice (Jacqueline Courtney) that Steve had secret plans for her.

1979: On THE EDGE OF NIGHT, Paige (Margaret Colin) is grilled about Tobias. Watch it below:



1981: On GENERAL HOSPITAL, Rick and Lesley read Laura's note that she had gone away with Luke again.



1986: The 13th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards were presented on NBC. THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS was named Outstanding Drama Series. Acting winners were David Canary, Erika Slezak, John Wesley Shipp, Leann Hunley, Michael E. Knight and Ellen Wheeler.



1989: On GUIDING LIGHT, Reva and Josh were finally married. You can purchase the wedding on DVD from SoapClassics. Watch it below:



1998: Joseph Maher, who was the original (Leonard) Brooks on ANOTHER WORLD from 1976 to 1978, died at age 64.  He also played Whitney Foxton on GUIDING LIGHT in 1978.

1999: "The All My Children Shoppe" kicked off on shopping channel QVC with a guest appearance by Susan Lucci.

2001: On THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL, Deacon (Sean Kanan) surprised Bridget with breakfast in bed and a ring.

2008: Soap opera legend Larry Haines, best known for his long-running role as Stu on SEARCH FOR TOMORROW, died at age 89.

  1. Richard Bekins! The best of the Jamie Frames. Had such a crush on him, long before I understood what it meant. He's 58 now?!? Hard to imagine.
