On this date in...

1946: Procter & Gamble radio soap opera LIFE CAN BE BEAUTIFUL moved to its 3 p.m. timeslot on the NBC radio network. The show had always run in the mornings previously. It would remain in this new timeslot until it went off the air in 1954.

1965: Pat and John were married on ANOTHER WORLD.

1966: On THE GUIDING LIGHT, Johnny Fletcher (played by now 30 ROCK director Don Scardino) wanted to move.

1966: ABC daytime soap NEVER TOO YOUNG aired its final episode.

1983: Quint and Nola were married on GUIDING LIGHT. You can buy their wedding episode from SoapClassics.com.

1987: On AS THE WORLD TURNS, Lily learned Iva was her mother.



1999: On ANOTHER WORLD, Lila thought Vicky crashed her wedding to a missing Cass.



2003: Carly was all tied up on GENERAL HOSPITAL.



2010: On DAYS OF OUR LIVES, family and friends continued returning for Alice's memorial service.
