In the spirit of our landmark 2010 50 Greatest Soap Opera Actors and 50 Greatest Soap Opera Actresses countdowns, We Love Soaps is carefully constructing a list of the greatest daytime soap opera super couples of all time.
Our goals:
- Celebrate the romance and adventure of our favorite soaps!
- Create a list that is fair, nuanced and comprehensive - and definitive!
- Include "classic" couples and avoid a chronological bias, where we can!
- Remind fans about past favorites and get the soap community talking about love!
- Have fun talking about the most exciting, fascinating, and heartwarming daytime moments of the past and present!
In the years since the 50 Greatest Soap Actors and Actresses lists, the We Love Soaps family of contributors has grown to well over a dozen soap professionals, historians, and enthusiasts, and we're already busy with the contentious process of selectiong whom to include and in what order. But of course, we want to hear what our readers think.
We don't want to miss a single couple that is demonstrably SUPER!

The list I submitted is fluid. I was drawn to these to couples based on the story lines they were featured in. Days couples were featured because of the sense of redemption that ran through all four couples and the challenges they had to overcome: rape, bad choices, insecurity of their personhood, and adventures that drew them together. The idea of redemption is also echoed in Clint and Viki, John and Sharlene, and Reva and Josh.
Zach and Kendall interested me the also because of the storyline connected to cochlear implants.

I have to say this again because I want to give my reasons for loving them, and I've decided I only want to vote for my favorite couple.
#1-50- BO & CARLY (DOOL)!!
Reasoning: They had the best slow-building romance I've ever seen on a TV show, specifically a soap, and their chemistry was stronger than any other couple I've seen on the show. They also had similar humor and a shared passion for helping others. They could do angst like no other couple, and when they were together there was never a dull moment. Their romance and love was like a fairy-tale, and they should've lived "happily-ever-after". I will never stop loving their relationship.

Reasoning: They had the best slow-building romance I've ever seen on a TV show, and together they had a chemistry I've never seen on TV. Otalia made me believe two women in love could live 'happily ever afters.' I've also never seen a more fully realized character than Olivia Spencer (played by one of the best actors ever, Crystal Chappell) and with Natalia Rivera by her side, Olivia was unstoppable, with a heart they just grew with love. They will always be my favorite soap opera couple.

Dool Hit it out of the parrk with the greatest couple to date Bo and Carly. A true fairy tale love story. Still fun to watch in 2012. The drama and love was unvieled. In a slow manner but that was a good thing. Something that kept you glued to the soap. The glances the almost love scenes with a twist and a turn but in the end it alk came true. Aweee I miss Bo and Carly!

Jack and Jennifer are the only pair who really captured my heart and kept it. They had it all from the slow build to humor to angst to adventure to romance, and coupled with Jack's redemption, their story was very beautiful and unique. Such a shame how DAYS has tried to tear them down (from awful recasts and repeatedly firing the talented Matt Ashford to trying to stick Jennifer in other lame romances), and such a shame that their huge story potential this last time around went so under utilized, when it was clear in those cabin scenes that Jack and Jennifer have still got it.
