Tuesday Night Ratings: PRIVATE PRACTICE Up, GLEE, 90210 Down

The Tuesday overnight Nielsen ratings are in. Below is a roundup of May 15 ratings reports:

From ABC:
In its season closer, ABC's PRIVATE PRACTICE shot up over the prior week by 22% in Total Viewers, by 29% in Adults 18-49 and by 30% in Adults 25-54.

Spiking in its season finale against increased competition from the second hour of CBS' 2-hour NCIS: LA finale, PRIVATE PRACTICE beat out NBC's season finale of FASHION STAR by 2.2 million viewers (7.1 million vs. 4.9 million) and by 13% in Adults 18-49 (1.8/5 vs. 1.6/4) during the 10 o'clock hour. In addition, the ABC drama ranked No. 2 in its slot with Adults 25-54 and key Women (W18-49/W25-54).

From The Wrap: Fox took third in the demo and fourth in total viewers with back-to-back episodes of GLEE. The first airing at 8 p.m. was down 11 percent from last week, receiving a 2.4/8, and had 6 million total viewers. The second episode at 9, which featured Lohan guest-starring as herself, was down 7 percent from last week, posting a 2.5/7. It attracted 6 million total viewers. Overall the network averaged a 2.5/7 in the demo and 6 million total viewers.

From B&C:
The CW ended with an overall 0.4/1. 90210 fell a tenth to a 0.5. THE L.A. COMPLEX was steady at a 0.2.

  1. Whoa! Even Relaciones Peligrosas did better than the 90210 finale that night - pulling over a million viewers for a change and a 0.5 A18-49 in the 10pm hour.
