Molly Burnett Leaving DAYS OF OUR LIVES

Rumors have been circulating that Indie Soap Award and Emmy nominee Molly Burnett is about to leave the role of 'Melanie Jonas' and DAYS OF OUR LIVES, and now Soap Opera Digest is now confirming the news. Burnett will be exiting the show at the end of June

"Going in, I knew it was a four-year contract and look, it's been the most amazing experience," she tells the magazine. "I look at it as four years of the best training any actor could have ever been given."

Burnett will be making another appearance on indie soap hit EMPIRE later this year.

  2. As a DAYS fan this comes as a huge disappointment. As a Molly fan, I admire for her leaving a situation where she has been overlooked and ignored for well over a year.

  3. And it sounds like she's getting out at the right time. The fact she and Renee Jones are exiting tells me this situation at Days isn't good, especially with today's news about Peter.

Still, always will be a fan. I have a feeling she'll go very far in this business.
