1958: Elaine S. Carrington, radio writer who created PEPPER YOUNG'S FAMILY and other daytime dramas, died at New York Hospital. She was 66.

1964: ANOTHER WORLD debuted on NBC in the 3 p.m. time slot. Original characters were Liz, Bill, Jim, Mary, Pat, Alice, Russ, Janet, Granny Matthews; Missy Palmer; and Ken and Tom Baxter.

1982: On the Season 2 finale of DYNASTY, Cecil suffered a heart attack while making love to Alexis on the night before their wedding

1987: On DAYS OF OUR LIVES, Kim and Shane were finally married.

1992: On ANOTHER WORLD, Vicky hoped Ryan would call her in Washington.

  1. BTW, Susan Brown also played Adelaide Fitzgibbon, Kirk Anderson's one-time business mentor, on ATWT in the late 1980s.
