1928: Actress Mary Fickett, best known for her role as Ruth Martin on ALL MY CHILDREN, was born. She died last September at age 83. Fickett also played roles on THE EDGE OF NIGHT, THE INNER FLAME and YOUNG DOCTOR MALONE, among many other television and film roles.
1967: ANOTHER WORLD broadcast live for the last time. The show was the first soap opera to make the transition to videotape from live broadcast.
1986: Frannie had a memory about Doug Cummings on AS THE WORLD TURNS.
1986: On DAYS OF OUR LIVES, Bo learned he was the son of Victor Kiriakis in very dramatic fashion.
1988: On GUIDING LIGHT, Phillip took over Spaulding Enterprises.
