GENERAL HOSPITAL Director Scott McKinsey Signs On For MISS BEHAVE Finale

As the multi-award winning series MISS BEHAVE winds down with a finale scheduled to film over Memorial Day weekend, the show aligning themselves with a dynamic duo from the soap world to bring the story to life. Daytime director Scott McKinsey, winner of several coveted directorial awards from the DGA and Daytime Emmys, will be making his New Media directorial debut as part of the  MISS BEHAVE team. 

“I'm thrilled to have Scott join our production as we head into our three part finale. I'm a huge fan of his work on GENERAL HOSPITAL plus he's a really great guy with amazing ideas” said Susan Bernhardt, creator and executive producer of the hit teen soap.

McKinsey has a long history in daytime television beginning in 1985 at SEARCH FOR TOMORROW, followed by GUIDING LIGHT from 1985-1991, PORT CHARLES from 1997-2003, AS THE WORLD TURNS in 2001 and 2002, leading up to his current position at ABC's GENERAL HOSPITAL which began in 1992. He is the winner of five Daytime Emmy awards for Directing, two DGA awards for Directing, two Daytime Emmy awards for Editing, plus numerous nominations from both organizations.  He is the son of the late legendary actress Beverlee McKinsey.

On Wednesday it was announced that McKinsey, as part of the directing team at ABC's GENERAL HOSPITAL, received another Daytime Emmy nomination. 


“I am excited by the opportunity to join the team at Miss Behave as the series enjoys a growing popularity, " shared McKinsey, "and begins its next phase into the REIGN campaign.”

Pairing up with McKinsey is fellow Daytime Emmy winning veteran Vincent Steib, who will be leading the camera department for the MISS BEHAVE finale as the Director of Photography. Mr. Steib brings years of experience to the production as well, and won a 2011 Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Achievement in Lighting Direction for a Drama Series in recognition of his work on ABC's GENERAL HOSPITAL. He was nominated for the same award in 2010.

MISS BEHAVE debuted June 24, 2010, with an initial twelve episodes. Later that same year, second season began releasing an additional ten episodes. In less that two years of web presence, the show has garnered numerous awards, including multiple accolades for their soundtrack featuring many breakout indie artists, plus nominations and wins for best drama, writing, acting, directing, cinematography and the original MISS BEHAVE theme song.   The show win the Indie Soap Award earlier this year for Best Use of Music.


The series finale stars several daytime faces including ex-DAYS OF OUR LIVES stars Jillian Clare, Patrika Darbo, Jacee Jule, and current DAYS cast member Eric Martsolf. Making her New Media debut and joining the cast as Elizabeth Archer, the infamous Queen, is Terri Garber (AS THE WORLD TURNS).
