VERONICA MARS Marathon On SOAPnet April 15; Regular Timeslot Debut April 16

VERONICA MARS is coming to SOAPnet. To kick off the show, SOAPnet will air an 11-episode marathon, Sunday, April 15th, from 8 a.m.– 7 p.m. (ET/PT). The series will move to its regular time slot Monday through Friday at 5 p.m. and 6 p.m., starting Monday, April 16 with weekend marathons airing Saturdays from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. This is the first time the show has aired since it ended its run in 2007.

Smart, wise-cracking high school student Veronica Mars has a penchant for solving mysteries, while helping her father with his struggling detective agency. Despite his warnings, Veronica’s determined to uncover the biggest mystery of all: who killed her best friend and created a scandal that cost her father his job, his home and his wife - and turned Veronica into an outcast at school.

The series stars Kristen Bell (HOUSE OF LIES), Enrico Colantoni (JUST SHOOT ME!), Teddy Dunn (The Manchurian Candidate), Jason Dohring (RINGER) and Francis Capra (SLC Punk!). Michael Munhey (THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS) played Sheriff Don Lamb on the show which was produced by Joel Silver and Rob Thomas.

Here are the episodes to be shown during the marathon:

8 a.m. – Episode #VM2005-01 – “Pilot”- Veronica comes to the aid of newcomer Wallace, and in return, incurs the wrath of Weevil, the school bully; Veronica makes an unsettling discovery about her mother who abandoned her a year ago.

9 a.m. – Episode #VM2005-02 – “Credit Where Credit’s Due”- When Weevil is arrested, Veronica and Wallace don’t believe the evidence against him, so they launch an investigation to help their new ally; Veronica clashes with socialite Caitlin Ford (Paris Hilton),

10 a.m. – Episode #VM2005-03 – “Meet John Smith” – Veronica and Wallace attempt to help a classmate find his father who disappeared 10 years earlier; Veronica experiences some complicated feelings towards ex-boyfriend Duncan and new romantic interest Troy.

11 a.m. – Episode #VM2005-04 – “The Wrath of Con - In an effort to help Wallace’s friend who was duped in an internet scheme, Veronica must outwit a group of computer thugs; Keith makes Veronica introduce him to her new boyfriend, Troy; Lilly’s family and classmates gather for a ceremony marking the first anniversary of her death.

12 p.m. – Episode #VM2005-05 – “You Think You Know Somebody” - Veronica tries to help her new boyfriend Troy find his father’s stolen car; When Keith begins dating her guidance counselor, Veronica secretly investigates her missing mother’s whereabouts, leading her to stumble on a secret her mom was keeping.

1 p.m. – Episode #VM2005-06 – “Return of the Kane” - Veronica investigates possible fraud in the school election; Logan causes a public relations nightmare for his movie star parents; Veronica and Keith learn that the man who admitted to murdering Lilly is set to be executed, but a second look at crime scene photographs puts his confession in question.

2 p.m. – Episode #VM2005-07 – “The Girl Next Door” – When their pregnant upstairs neighbor suddenly goes missing, Veronica and Keith investigate the girl’s disappearance; Veronica is shocked to learn that her mother and Duncan’s father were high school sweethearts.

3 p.m. – Episode #VM2005-08 – “Like a Virgin” – An online “purity test” provides the students of Neptune High with entertainment until someone makes everyone’s private results very public. Veronica searches for the culprit; Veronica meets with Lilly’s condemned killer in order to find out about her murder - and ends up learning some shocking news about herself instead.

4 p.m. – Episode #VM2005-09 – “Drinking the Kool-Aid” - The wealthy parents of a Neptune High senior hire Mars Investigations to look into a cultish group their son has joined. Veronica infiltrates “The Farm” to learn more about its operation and its charismatic leader; still stunned by Abel’s news, Veronica attempts to dispel his claim that Jake Kane is her real father.

5 p.m. – Episode #VM2005-10 – “An Echolls Family Christmas” - When Weevil’s poker winnings are missing after a game at Logan’s house, Veronica must piece together the evening’s events and catch the thief; Keith is hired by Lynn to track down her husband’s stalker on the eve of the Echolls’ annual Christmas party extravaganza.

6 p.m. – Episode #VM2005-11 – “Silence of the Lambs” - A serial killer who targets college girls has struck again, and Keith temporarily returns to the sheriff’s department to help catch the killer. Meanwhile, Veronica conducts background checks to get the “dirt” on her schoolmates’ parents, but when she looks into her friend Mac’s family, the information may have life-altering consequences.
