Michael E. Knight Interview: The Cost of Erecting a New Career, Suiting Up and Showing Up
"I just got to go in and have a sit down with Marc Cherry for a new pilot he’s doing and was so gratified just to be in the room to audition for something like that. The script was wonderful. But, even more so, I found him to be … I couldn’t imagine a more generous and supportive person. It was interesting because sometimes our industry has been so easy to satirize and dismiss for a long time, so you never really know what you’re going to get walking through the door."

THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL exec producer-head writer Brad Bell will continue to feature the younger set
"It's very much like we were 25 years ago when Ridge and Brooke were the centerpiece of B&B. I've been looking for this for quite some time. Not since the days of Amber, Rick, Kimberly, and CJ have we had such a strong young group. Maybe this current group even eclipses them. They have been such a success for us in the ratings and the demos. We're up 400,000 viewers from last year, half of them in the 18-49 demo. So I am committed to telling younger and younger stories."

Does TERRA NOVA prove "ambitious" big movie-style budgets don't work in TV?
As Darren Franich points out, "For all the talk about how much more visually stimulating television has become in this era of HD, the medium is still fundamentally built on writing and good old non-digital human performance. Most good-looking TV shows make their relative cheapness a virtue."

  2. I looked up the name of the Eastenders character that Ms. McCluskey portrayed and realize that I remember her character Kerry Skinner. Truly a grisly sad story for some poor woman, I don't know whether it is her. Sorry to hear about any loss of life.
