INDIE SOAP BEAT: Season Finales of PRETTY, VENICE; Plus, DEVANITY, FUMBLING, BANDWAGON, Soap Life & The ISAs!

Here's the latest news and episodes from the world of indie soaps:

* In case you missed the news on Thursday night, We Love Soaps is proud to be co-producing The 3rd Annual Indie Soap Awards with The SFN. The live ceremony will be held on Feb. 21 in New York with the telecast airing on Mar. 18 exclusively on The SFN. We also announced a Community Partnership with The National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce, New York Chapter (NGLCCNY).

* The third season finale of PRETTY aired on Monday at prettytheseries.com. How did the Miss Black Star Eyes Pageant end? What became of the Minks, Janice and Roberta, and Meredith? And what was Dr. Kate's final conclusion after a season of pageant therapy? Find out as Genie Francis, Martha Byrne, Anthony Anderson, Denise Alexander, Brendan Bradley, Terrell Ransom Jr and more guest star.

* VENICE aired its third season finale as well, on Wednesday. Ani has a decision to make. And so do the voters in our Indie Soap of the Week couples poll this weekend! And what a cliffhanger! Subscribers can watch VENICE here.

* The SFN's DEVANITY aired a new episode on Thursday. Mistaken identities cause new problems for the DeVanity family as Byron struggles to remember who he is, Alex tries to reclaim his life, and Bianca tries to exact revenge against Jason. You can watch DEVANITY here.

* When FUMBLING THRU THE PIECES returns for its second season, a THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS Emmy winner will be part of the cast. Check out the news here.

* BANDWAGON has released a new bonus clip. Watch it below:

* Soap Life is a new documentary on the changing landscape of the daytime drama. You can watch a trailer on the film's Kickstarter page here. We Love Soaps' Roger Newcomb and Damon L. Jacobs were interviewed for the project. The themes of "The Year of the Soap" and the evolution of the medium onto the web were a big part of our contribution.

* Coming very soon, the INDIE SOAP BEAT, which started as a radio segment, then became a weekly column at We Love Soaps, will soon take to the streets of Manhattan conducting interviews with the web series community in Times Square. Stay tuned!
