PREVIEW: CW's Thursday Night Soaps THE VAMPIRE DIARIES & THE SECRET CIRCLE

The Year of the Soap continues when THE VAMPIRE DIARIES airs an all new episode, "Bringing Out The Dead," on Thursday, February 2 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.

Sheriff Forbes delivers some disturbing news to Alaric and Elena about the weapon used in a recent murder.

In the Salvatore brothers’ escalating quest to kill Klaus, Stefan turns to Bonnie and Abby (guest star Persia White), while Damon reaches out to an old acquaintance for help in setting up an elaborate plan.

Intent on a plan of his own, Klaus hosts a strange dinner party, where he reveals another story from his family’s violent past until an unexpected guest brings the party to an end.

Meanwhile, Caroline is heartbroken when she is unable to stop a tragedy from unfolding.



Zach Roerig also stars. Jeffrey Hunt directed the episode written by Turi Meyer & Al Septien.

THE SECRET CIRCLE follows at 9 p.m. ET with “Medallion”.

Cassie (Britt Robertson) enlists the Circle’s help when she receives a frightening warning about the witch hunters’ return.

At the same time, her true feelings for Adam (Thomas Dekker) and Jake (Chris Zylka) surface during a birthday party that Ethan (Adam Harrington) decides to throw with the help of Diana (Shelley Hennig).

Meanwhile, Faye (Phoebe Tonkin) and Melissa (Jessica Parker Kennedy) take their inner power to a chilling new level when they try a little of Lee’s (guest star Grey Damon) “Devil’s Spirit.”



Shelley Hennig previewed her character for Hollywood Crush: "Diana has been a planner for years. She loves parties and she loves Adam,. She knows it's Adam's birthday. It's on the top of her head, trying to figure out if she should even do anything for him. She has been planning things for him for years, so how would she all of a sudden stop?"

Gale Harold and Natasha Henstridge also star. Liz Friedlander directed the episode written by Andrew Miller & Andrea Newman.
