PREVIEW: ABC's Thursday Night Soaps GREY'S ANATOMY & PRIVATE PRACTICE

The Year of the Soap continues when GREY'S ANATOMY airs an all-new episode, "All You Need Is Love," on Thursday, February 9 (9:00-10:02 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

In the spirit of Valentine's Day, Meredith and Derek try to have a night to themselves when Lexie offers to watch Zola; Callie hands babysitting duties over to Mark so that she can surprise Arizona with a romantic evening; and Ben proves to Bailey that he knows her better than she thinks.

Meanwhile, the ER fills with romantics, including a 10-year-old girl who has an allergic reaction to chocolates from her valentine and a man who is hit by a car while chasing down his frustrated girlfriend.



GREY'S ANATOMY stars Ellen Pompeo as Meredith Grey, Patrick Dempsey as Derek Shepherd, Sandra Oh as Cristina Yang, Justin Chambers as Alex Karev, Chandra Wilson as Miranda Bailey, James Pickens, Jr. as Richard Webber, Sara Ramirez as Callie Torres, Eric Dane as Mark Sloan, Chyler Leigh as Lexie Grey, Kevin McKidd as Owen Hunt, Jessica Capshaw as Arizona Robbins, Kim Raver as Teddy Altman, Jesse Williams as Jackson Avery and Sarah Drew as April Kepner.

"All You Need Is Love" was written by Jeannine Renshaw and directed by Rob Corn.

PRIVATE PRACTICE follows at 10:02 p.m. ET with "Too Much".

Sam finds his estranged sister, Corinne, in jail, heavily medicated and near-catatonic, and brings her to Sheldon for help.

Erica begins secret treatments for her cancer and refuses to let Cooper and Charlotte tell Mason.

Cooper, Pete and Addison treat the baby of a drug addict.

Things between Violet and Scott continue to heat up in the bedroom.



PRIVATE PRACTICE stars Kate Walsh as Dr. Addison Forbes Montgomery, Tim Daly as Dr. Pete Wilder, Benjamin Bratt as Dr. Jake Reilly, KaDee Strickland as Dr. Charlotte King, Paul Adelstein as Dr. Cooper Freedman, Brian Benben as Dr. Sheldon Wallace and Caterina Scorsone as Dr. Amelia Shepherd, with Taye Diggs as Dr. Sam Bennett and Amy Brenneman as Dr. Violet Turner.

Guest starring Anika Noni Rose as Sam's sister, Corinne. Also guest starring A.J. Langer as Erica and Stephen Amell as Scott.

"Too Much" was written by Noah Evslin and directed by Karen Gaviola.
