INDIE SOAP BEAT: DEVANITY, HUSTLING, OLD DOGS, VENICE, THE BAY, ROSE, STONES

Here's the latest news and episodes from the world of indie soaps:

* Indie Soap Award Best Drama nominee DEVANITY was back on Thursday with a brand new episode. Tempers flare as Lara and Bianca lash out at each other after the funeral, and rival jeweler Andrew Regis arrives to make Jason an offer that could destroy DeVanity. Daytime soap veterans Kyle Lowder and Robin Riker guest star. You can watch it on the hot new online network The SFN.

* HUSTLING aired its Season 1 finale this week. Ryan (Sebastian La Cause) and Liv (Jessica Press), get better acquainted. Ryan opens up to her about his past. Rosa Juarez (Daphne Rubin-Vega) stops by for the rent and offers some sound advice.



* On the latest episode of OLD DOGS & NEW TRICKS, Ross confesses his recent marital woes, Brad's latest conquest bruises his self-esteem, Muscles has too much in common with Bobby (Thom Bierdz), and living vicariously though his friends' adventures leaves Nathan feeling empty.



* Episode Four of ROSE BY ANY OTHER NAME has now been released. A date does not go Veronica's way and Chris tries to offer some advice. Rose meanwhile is at a BiAS meeting where she makes an impulsive commitment.



* VENICE also aired the latest Season 3 episode on Wednesday, a funeral! DAYS OF OUR LIVES legend Susan Seaforth Hayes appears. Subscribers can watch it here.

* THROWING STONES is back with "Breaking Good" on the Koldcast network.

* A new episode of WHATEVER is now online.

* A new DVD of 20 GUIDING LIGHT episodes was released on Wednesday (the first ever release of remastered full-length episodes). Indie soap stars Crystal Chappell, Jordan Clarke, Tina Sloan, Beth Ehlers and Michael O'Leary are among those featured.
