1979: On ANOTHER WORLD, Jim told Marianne he wouldn't forgive her even if Pat were acquitted.

2000: SOAPnet, one of two possible cable soap opera channels vying to get on the air, launched. The Soap City cable network never came to fruition. SOAPnet is leaving the air in March.
