On Wednesday DIRTY SOAP cast member Jenna Gering tweeted that the show would not be back for a second season."So the word is that Dirty Soap is NOT being picked up for another season," she wrote. "Thanks to all of u who watched. You all have been so supportive!!!"
She explained that the ratings were not satisfactory for the E! network.
"Apparently E! Needed a million viewers for that Sunday time slot. It averaged .8"
Though this news was expected, we will miss live-tweeting the show. At times the stories felt manufactured and forced (even moreso than the typical reality show or docu-series). Perhaps some cast changes could have made it more of a ratings success.
When KS had to leave for medical reasons it lost its mojo!
