  1. Why was "The Cavanaughs" left off the list this week???

  2. Count again! It's #4! Empire is missing though1

  3. The Cavanaughs was left off, because this site has always and will always do everything it can to give the unfair advantage to The Bay.

  4. WOW. Angel Young is actually encouraging members of The Bay watchers group to vote multiple times and is implying that The Cavanaughs cheat to get to number one every week. I think it's really terrible that Gregory Martin doesn't encourage the fans of The Bay to act civilized and not say negative things about the other web soaps. It's one thing to never give any words of encouragement to a soap without soap stars. It's another thing to permit your fans to throw cheap shots on your official watchers site. It should be properly moderated. It's pretty tacky. All that "love and light" act is clearly a sham.

  5. I accidentally left The Cavanaughs off when creating the poll. I had them on my list, it was just an oversight. Creator/star Adrian is a close friend of mine and a total class act. We talked about it shortly after the poll went live and I fixed it. No way he would want fans of his show to anonymously post here bashing this site or other producers. It was totally my oversight. I've done it before and I'm sure I will do it again, but there's certainly no more to it than a simple mistake. The poll is designed to help us gauge which shows have the most interest to our readers. I honestly don't care who wins. I know people from just about every web series we mention/cover and love them all. We want to raise visibility to all these shows.

Andy FYI...we can tell in our poll if someone is spamming and The Cavanaughs has won fair and square the last several weeks.

The indie community is a collaborative and supportive environment. I hope the fans keep the spirit the producers of these shows have which is to support and help each other. If one show succeeds, it helps everyone.

  6. this site and other like it tend to be a bit skewed in favor of the "bigger" indie-soaps that feature former or current network soap stars... which is a shame cause these other shows are doing so much with so little and really keeping the genre alive with new talent and new perspectives...

i guess its understandable to a certain degree since these "stars" tend to bring their fanbases to these shows... but i'd like to see some spotlights shined on the smaller shows.

that being said, i watch almost all of the shows in the poll!

  7. We Love Soaps goes out of their way to include shows of all kinds in their poll and all fans can do is complain. It's sad. I have discovered several new web series by looking at this poll each week. No other soap site supports the indie shows like this one but some people will never be satisfied.

  8. let's be honest... take a look at the shows that get featured here. i'm not talking about the poll. i'm talking about articles, features, interviews, etc. it's not the little indie soaps with no stars... it's the bigger shows that have mainstream talent.

i too have found new shows through this poll. but would like to see the smaller shows featured as heavily as "the bay" and "empire".

i really like alot of these shows and i'm happy they exist. i'd just like to see them get more support... and not just through support to shows with big stars.
