ABC Yanks CHARLIE'S ANGELS, Hypes REVENGE; the Nielsen Ratings Made Them Do It?

TVGuide.com may still be listing CHARLIE'S ANGEL'S in this week's Friday 9:00 p.m. rerun slot, but ABC has actually swapped the anemic new series out. Instead, yesterday's episode of REVENGE, entitled "Betrayal," will be broadcast again.

As an unabashed soap opera, in primetime, on ABC, it's refreshing to see REVENGE benefiting from such strong network support.

Of course, a quick look at last week's ratings indicates that they're definitely backing the right horse. CHARLIE'S ANGELS had a 1.5 Adults 18-49 rating and a 4 share. REVENGE had a 2.7 Adults 18-49 rating and a 7 share.*

The official ABC Television Network press release (below) is very enthusiastic about REVENGE, while it (literally) only mentions CHARLIE'S ANGELS in a side note. Has ABC already moved on?
