On Episode 3.13, Damon L. Jacobs visits the NBC Experience Store at Rockefeller Center in New York City and speaks legendary actress Deidre Hall, who is returning to DAYS OF OUR LIVES on September 26. Hall talks about Marlena's return, what happens to John during their first week back, her new book (out in October), and what she thinks about one of our 25 Biggest Blunders!

WE LOVE SOAPS TV: What has Marlena been up to this whole time?
Deidre Hall: Marlena has been caring for John, nursing him back to health, and there's a big, dramatic twist in our first week that will change the life of everybody in Salem.
WE LOVE SOAPS TV: Is there anything you can preview for us about this twist? We've been hearing about it for months...
Deidre Hall: I think I can tell you that John gets arrested (I hope I can tell you that) which is the beginning of an incredibly wonderful arc, about what happened, and how it happened, and who is to blame. And I can tell you that we do a strawberry scene within the first two weeks back.
WE LOVE SOAPS TV: How about the idea of doing a memoir?
Deidre Hall: I've thought about it quite often. I've been approached quite a bit about it. And I just--I don't know, I'm a little bit lazier than that.
WE LOVE SOAPS TV: What do you think about the idea of spoilers?
Deidre Hall: It's a personal call. For my part, for shows that I watch, I wouldn't want to know. I don't want to know what happens. I like to be surprised in the moment... It's what we have. It's what we deal with, so we deal with it. But, it's not my first choice.
WE LOVE SOAPS TV: You've been asked many times to describe Marlena. How would Marlena describe Deidre Hall?
Deidre Hall: I don't know that she would [laughter], why would she? You know, we're so much alike, because the only way to survive on a soap is to play out of yourself.
