HISTORY: Television Turns 84 Today, from Farnsworth to OLED

On this date in 1927, the first fully electronic television was successfully executed by Philo Farnsworth. Widespread consumer use of television sets was still way off, though.

Television has come a long way during the past decades and dramatically changed in just the past 10 years alone .
