AMC PROSPECT PARK UPDATE: Cameron Mathison & Others In; Alicia Minshew Would Only Recur At Most

A number of cast members have signed on for the online version of ALL MY CHILDREN, GOOD MORNING AMERICA special correspondent Cameron Mathison announced today.

“I have been given permission to announce that I and others from ALL MY CHILDREN have been approached by the company, Prospect Park, who bought AMC with the intention to move it online,” Mathison said. “Just as soaps were very pivotal in the transition from radio to television, they’ll be right in the thick of things again in the transition from television to the internet.”

Mathison, who got his start on AMC and played Ryan Lavery for 14 years, said there are “a few more I’s to be dotted and T’s to be crossed, but it’s looking very good.”

Meanwhile, Alicia Minshew isn't willing to sign a contract with Prospect Park.

“I know they are starting to approach people now,” Minshew told THR. “If they were to come to me and ask me to do it [and] if I could work it out where I could maybe be recurring, I could pop in every now and then, I could work with these people that I love and still be a part of this. I would be open to that.”

Otherwise, the Minshew said she’s ready to do something fresh. “Something funny. Something light,” she said.

  1. Congrats to Cameron & his fellow AMC cast members who have signed up to continue with the soap's online version so far. I'm still hoping that a nice recurring deal can work out for Alicia. She would be a wonderful commedienne on a sitcom, I think! :-)
