1967: Irna Phillips' soap LOVE IS A MANY SPLENDORED THING premiered on CBS.

1968: On PEYTON PLACE, a confused Tom (Robert Hogan) has turned home. Watch below.



1989: Irish soap opera FAIR CITY premiered.

2009: GUIDING LIGHT aired its final episode after 72 years on radio and television.

  1. Made me cry all over again with my GL. Hardcore "Lighter" here, why can't we have GL, ATWT on the web. Now I would pay for those soaps. Love is Many...I remember that soap growing up especially in around '69, I was 9 and it was damn good little soap which didn't last long. But when we lost Love in '73 we got Y&R. Lots of talent on Love..Donna Mills, Leslie Charleston, Beverly McKinsley, Andrea M. etc
