Last month TV Guide posted a story about Sarah Michelle Gellar possibly returning to ALL MY CHILDREN before the soap ends its run on ABC on September 23. Soap Opera Digest has now confirmed the news. Said Gellar, "I have no idea what I'm doing or who I'm playing. I told them I don't want to be Kendall; that's Alicia's [Minshew] role now. She has made that beyond her own. She's amazing. I just wanted to be a part of it. I said I would be a patron in a bar, I don't care."Gellar also had another funny suggestion that ties into the history of the show: "I can come down from the attic with Bobby Martin; I can be his ski bunny wife."
“When I heard that the show was canceled I didn’t understand," she went on to add. "It just doesn’t make sense to me. So, I called Judy Wilson, who is the casting director and has been since I was there, and I said I wanted to do something.”
Gellar added that she will be working on a day that Justin Bruening (Jamie) is taping. He was recently cast to play her love interest on the new CW show RINGER.
She will air on September 21 and her scenes will be with real-life pal Eva La Rue (Maria).
