INTERVIEW PREVIEW: Blair Redford of PASSIONS, THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS, THE LYING GAME

Blair Redford has been in five soaps in six years (THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS, PASSIONS, 90210, SWITCHED AT BIRTH and THE LYING GAME) and has trained with a stunt team called Black Knight Stunts. He promises us a street fight in every other episode of THE LYING GAME and once worked as a pirate. As you can see, the interview we just wrapped up with Blair was action-packed!

Soon, we'll be posting a complete transcript of our very candid interview (keep checking back!), including the answers to questions like:

You were cast in THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS early in your career, and some actors say that being on a daytime soap can be like TV boot camp. Has that been your experience, and how does it compare to working on THE LYING GAME?

The audience is only one episode into THE LYING GAME, but so far, after Emma (Alexandra Chando, AS THE WORLD TURNS), it's been all about Ethan. Without giving too much away, what can we expect from your character as the story unfolds?

After helping launch two prime time dramas in one summer, what's next for Blair Redford? Where do you want to go from here?

If you could go back in time to 2004, what advice would you give your younger self?

And of course...

How did Tyler Christopher (GENERAL HOSPITAL) go from being your father to being your brother?

Blair Redford was recently seen in Burlesque, opposite Cher and Christina Aguilera. Additional TV credits include FLASH FORWARD, CANE and CSI:MIAMI. Born and raised in Georgia, Redford performed at the local Renaissance Fair (as a pirate named "Rusty Compass!") and became a member of the “WB Road Crew,” before being approached by a talent scout in Atlanta and moving to Los Angeles.

Blair plays Ethan, an edgy “bad boy” who is the brother of a local police officer. After “Sutton” accuses him of stalking her, he realizes that the young woman he has secretly been dating is someone else – namely, Sutton’s twin sister, Emma. Luckily, Ethan proves to be a loyal guy and is willing to act as Emma’s confidant as they both await Sutton’s return.

THE LYING GAME premiered last Monday, August 15, to an estimated audience of 1.386 million. The show follows Emma, a kindhearted foster kid, who learns she has an identical twin sister, Sutton. Sutton, unlike Emma, was adopted by wealthy parents and is seemingly living an ideal life. After their initial meeting, Sutton talks Emma into stepping into her life for a few days while she pursues a lead on the mysterious identity of their birth mother.

After Sutton inexplicably fails to return to the girls' designated meeting place, Emma must decide whether to come clean about her identity and risk her own safety in the hope of uncovering her twin sister's whereabouts, along with the truth about why they were separated in the first place.

THE LYING GAME stars Alexandra Chando as Emma/Sutton; Andy Buckley (THE OFFICE) as Ted; Helen Slater (SUPERGIRL) as Kristin; Blair Redford as Ethan; Sharon Pierre-Louis (LINCOLN HEIGHTS) as Nisha; Kirsten Prout (KYLE XY) as Char; Alice Greczyn (LINCOLN HEIGHTS) as Mads; and Allie Gonino (10 THINGS I HATE ABOUT YOU) as Laurel.

Charles Pratt, Jr. (UGLY BETTY, DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES, ALL MY CHILDREN, MELROSE PLACE) serves as executive producer and writer; Leslie Morgenstein (PRETTY LITTLE LIARS, THE NINE LIVES OF CHLOE KING, GOSSIP GIRL, THE VAMPIRE DIARIES) and Gina Girolamo will serve as executive producers. Produced by Alloy Entertainment in association with Warner Horizon Television, the series is based on the novel by author Sara Shepard (PRETTY LITTLE LIARS).
