PREVIEW: ABC Family Monday Night Soaps SECRET LIFE & THE LYING GAME

Amy does everything she can to try and convince Ricky to propose, but little does she know that Ricky might be more willing to commit than she thought, on an all-new episode of THE SECRET LIFE OF THE AMERICAN TEENAGER, premiering on Monday, August 22 (8:00 – 9:00 p.m. ET/PT).

In the one-hour episode, “The Games We Play,” Amy is obsessed with trying to get Ricky to propose and becomes much more attentive to his every need to show how she’d be a great wife.

Ricky is well aware of her plan and decides to enjoy every pampered moment, as he has a little plan of his own. Meanwhile, Adrian is upset that Dante never called after their date and ends up meeting his handsome brother. And Jack is desperate to find a date to accompany him to all the senior festivities, but will he be able to convince Madison or Grace to join him?

The series cast includes Shailene Woodley, Ken Baumann, Mark Derwin, India Eisley, Greg Finley, Daren Kagasoff, Megan Park, Francia Raisa with Steve Schirripa and Molly Ringwald. In “The Games We Play,” the guest stars include Anne Ramsay, Beverley Mitchell, Renee Olstead, Camille Winbush, Allen Evangelista, Amy Rider, Sinqua Walls, Austin Stowell, Tricia O’Kelley, De’Vaughn Nixon, and Kathy Kinney.

With no word from Sutton, Emma must put aside her ill feelings and continue with her newfound life, in “Being Sutton,” an all new episode of ABC Family’s original series THE LYING GAME premiering Monday, August 22nd (9:00 – 10:00 p.m. ET/PT).

Since concern for Sutton’s safety seems to be occupying Emma’s mind, she starts to let pieces of her own personality emerge. Although Emma is worried by her behavior, it seems her friends and family are enjoying the change in Sutton’s character. Wanting to please the father she never had, Emma must learn to ballroom dance for the annual father-daughter dance. Realizing she is in dire need of assistance, Ethan offers to help, in turn risking revealing his and Sutton’s secret relationship. Will Emma be able to put aside her worries for Sutton and shine on the dance floor? Or will the night’s series of events force her to reveal her true identity?

Meanwhile, as the teenagers do anything to keep their secrets, the parents may be lying to keep life-altering secrets of their own.

THE LYING GAME stars Alexandra Chando (ex-Maddie, AS THE WORLD TURNS) as Emma/Sutton; Andy Buckley as Ted; Helen Slater as Kristin; Blair Redford (90210/PASSIONS) as Garrett; Sharon Pierre-Louis (LINCOLN HEIGHTS) as Nisha; Kirsten Prout (KYLE XY) as Char; Alice Greczyn (LINCOLN HEIGHTS) as Mads; and Allie Gonino (10 THINGS I HATE ABOUT YOU) as Laurel.
