ABC RELEASE: Andrea Evans & John Loprieno Returning To ONE LIFE TO LIVE

Fan favorites Andrea Evans and John Loprieno return to play beloved characters Tina Lord and Cord Roberts on ABC's ONE LIFE TO LIVE in September. Both actors were last seen on OLTL in 2008 when they returned to celebrate the show's 40th Anniversary.

"Working with John is and always has been a pleasure," said Evans. "Our characters of Tina and Cord have always had an easy chemistry, and I am delighted that we will be able to bring them both to Llanview once again!"

"Working with Andrea was one of the high points of my acting career," said Loprieno. "Her work ethic, wonderful talent and incredible sense of humor were always appreciated on the set and in rehearsal. When I think of all the times I had fun on the set or interacting with people backstage, Andrea figures prominently in those memories."

Evans originated the role of Tina Lord in 1978 and played the popular troublemaker until 1990, receiving an Emmy® Award nomination for her wonderfully devious portrayal. In addition to reprising Tina on OLTL, she currently plays the role of Tawny on THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL, has also appeared on THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS, and had a long running role on PASSIONS. Evans has an impressive list of credits spanning film, primetime, radio and theatre, and she will soon be seen starring in the feature film Hit List. Charitable work is also extremely important to her, and when she is not acting, she dedicates her time to such organizations as The City of Hope and numerous animal rights groups. Evans continues to reside in CA with her husband, Steve, and young daughter, Kylie Lyn.

Loprieno originated the role of Cord Roberts in 1986 and played the role until 1992. In 1993 he returned to the show and played the Buchanan heir until 1997, making periodic returns in the years following. He is currently Chairman of the Theatre Arts program at Moorpark College in Moorpark, CA, heading a robust department that produces three major productions every year as well as a thriving program of original student one-acts each semester. Loprieno is also directing "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum" that runs from July 21 to Aug 7 at Moorpark College, providing him the opportunity to work with his students and help them discover their potential as performers and scholars.

Emmy Award-winning ONE LIFE TO LIVE, created by Agnes Nixon, was launched July 15, 1968. Frank Valentini executive-produces. Ron Carlivati is the headwriter. The popular drama consistently ranks among the top five in the key demographic of Women 18-49. ONE LIFE TO LIVE airs Monday-Friday (2:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.
