REVIEW: SEX AND THE CITY meets Jerry Springer on TRAILER MADE

Web Series: TRAILER MADE

For fans of...: SEX AND THE CITY; SORDID LIVES; THE JERRY SPRINGER SHOW; John Waters

What it is: Follow a gaggle of Southern girls as they liven-up their trailer park with parties, misadventures, and gossip.

What's good: Good job squeezing as much comedic juice out of each character without (quite) resorting to caricature. Objectively, these women are really rather awful, and yet somehow, we sorta want to be their friends.

What's great: It's a very funny show with a spirited and invested cast. It's filmed on (gritty) location, and the actresses are talented locals; add the fast, dextrous pacing and, hilariously, absurd situations somehow seem all too real.

What could be better: For the biggest audience impact, four friends seems to be the magic number (THE GOLDEN GIRLS; SEINFELD; SEX AND THE CITY and so on)--and the web series genre requires discipline and focus regardless of the set-up. Maybe TRAILER MADE would benefit from greater focus on the four leads?

Addictive like...: Little Debbie Snack Cakes

Grade: A-
