WATCH: AS THE WORLD TURNS Tribute to Nancy Hughes
AS THE WORLD TURNS paid tribute to Nancy Hughes today after it was revealed the character had died on Monday's episode. The show chose to not feature the funeral but focus on the aftermath with family and friends doing good deeds in Nancy's honor. It was an emotional day with many special flashbacks and a prayer with Helen Wagner's voice. There was even mention of Chris and Nancy's young daughter, Susan, that died before ATWT premiered. We also got scenes between Lucinda and John, Barbara and Lisa and Tom and Margo. It was hard not to cry while watching if you have watched this soap for a long time. There were a number of things the show could have done better. Obviously with the time restrictions we were not going to get a three week tribute a la Alice Horton on DAYS OF OUR LIVES. But it would have been nice to see Nancy's children at least mentioned, especially the wonderful Rosemary Prinz as Penny. Patricia Bruder was sorely missed as Ellen. Like Bob and Kim's 25th anniversary party earlier this year, it was the best of what ATWT can be in 2010 but a shell of what made the show great in year's past when the entire cast would have been involved and the town would have come together like a real community to honor a local icon. It sort of summed up a driving reason why many think the show has failed in recent years. Nancy's death will have little or no impact on over half the canvas because characters and stories rarely intersect. This even occurred in today's episode with John showing up at his daughter Margo's house but not even talking to her. The show's 30th anniversary was one of the best episodes ever so showing that flashback reminds viewers what the show has become. Strangely the show ended with Katie and no "in memoriam" to Helen Wagner. The actress's rare appearances over the past decade have been spent (some might say wasted) on frivolous conversations with Katie so to the writers that relationship apparently was more important than the ones longtime fans might appreciate more.
But enough of the nitpicks. Wagner was a legendary actress and her long run may never be duplicated. How sad that she did not live to tape the final episode of AS THE WORLD TURNS. And despite my qualms I am truly grateful to ATWT for at least taking this day to celebrate Nancy Hughes. Let's hope her spirit will continue to impact as the final 11 episodes play out.
Watch today's AS THE WORLD TURNS below and let us know your thoughts.

Music superstar Julio Iglesias, Jr. has signed on to head the cast of the new weekly, one-hour, dual-language soap opera HACIENDA HEIGHTS, a groundbreaking new series aimed at a network debut sometime in 2011. Vida Guerra, FHM's "Model of the Year" for 2004 and multiple international-issue Playboy magazine cover model, also joins the cast of bilingual actors. CLASSIC ATWT Photo of the Day: Nat Polen
Nat Polen played kindly Dr. Doug Cassen on AS THE WORLD TURNS from 1956 to 1967. Doug was a source of comfort to Claire Lowell during her marital difficulties with husband Jim, and ultimately married her following Jim's untimely death. Although he loved his step-daughter Ellen, he was not afraid to take David and Betty Stewart's side against her when Ellen attempted to regain custody from them of the child she'd had out of wedlock by Dr. Tim Cole and given up for adoption (Jimmy aka Dan Stewart). Sadly for Claire, Doug died after suffering complications from injuries incurred in a fight with the disgruntled husband of a patient who had died.
In addition to his ATWT role, Polen had parts on such series as CAPTAIN VIDEO (starring alongside Don Hastings), THE EDGE OF NIGHT, THE FIRST HUNDRED YEARS, HIDDEN FACES, THE NURSES and as kindly Dr. Jim Craig on ONE LIFE TO LIVE from 1969 until his death in 1981.

Julianne Moore Nude Bulgari Ad Banned In Venice

Venice, Italy has banned Julianne Moore's Bulgari ad from being posted as a billboard in the city, the Telegraph reports. The photo shows a nude Moore covered up by lion cubs, handbags and jewelry. Mayor Giorgio Orsoni called the image too racy and inappropriate for St. Mark's Square.
President of the Venice Foundation added, "I take account of the fact that Venice is part of the real word...but we cannot accept these Hollywood-style images. There are intelligent sponsors, and we need to come up with advertising that suits Venice, not Times Square."
Moore returned to AS THE WORLD TURNS in April as Frannie Hughes for an episode.

THE BAY The Series Interviews: Matthew Ashford, Part One
You have seen him play roles on daytime that have shocked, amused, and even disgusted fans. But one thing we can safely say about Matthew Ashford is that he is one of the most fascinating, unpredictable, and compelling actors to ever embrace the soap landscape. Fortunately, he will be starring in the new and original series THE BAY coming in September. In this rare interview, We Love Soaps delves into the thoughts and spiritual beliefs behind the actor's craft, as well as his excitement about the new landscape of indie soaps.
We Love Soaps: What a pleasure to speak with you! Let’s talk first about THE BAY. Tell me how this project came to you.
Matthew Ashford: I heard about THE BAY for months before I came on. I knew there was this new show coming on, and that a number of actors and actresses had started other shows. As an actor I am interested in where we are going in this industry. No one knows how to make money from this right now. The big giant dogs like Google are trying to figure how to assign a cost to use the web. These little start ups are happening where people are saying, “I just want to work. I just want to do this.”
THE BAY was started by Gregori Martin, who has a love of serialized storytelling. He grew up with it and understands the power of storytelling. When we finally got a chance to talk I had to consider where I am at in my career, and what is the most important thing for me right now. Am I being paid this exuberant sum to work on a network? Or am I being given a chance to work with friends, peers, and people I respect who I thought I’d never get a chance to work with, and to create something that has never been done before? It’s more the latter.
We are suddenly getting this opportunity for the artist, the actor, the writer, to step forward. There is no sense of old money already being there, so we are creating the business. It goes back to the early '50s when television was in its infancy. Actors would be doing Broadway and they would make about $1.95 to do some show that was not even recorded. It just went out to the universe, people saw it, and that was it. We’re kind of back there again. We’re putting something out there, seeing what sticks, seeing what comes back. At this point, I have a chance to work with actors I love to work with, friends, and other actors who I have never worked with, like Tristan Rogers. We can walk on the set as equals saying, “We are all in this thing together.” To go back even further, radio in the '30s had artists and actors jumping in and creating things. The Mercury Theater was created by Orson Wells. It was artists coming together and saying, “None of us are making any money anyway. Let’s get together and create something.” That to me is the feeling of what is going on with THE BAY. People are jumping in saying, “I want to be a part of this, what can I do?”

Leslie Charleson On Her Changed GH Contract Status
Longtime GENERAL HOSPITAL star Leslie Charleson has made a couple of statements about her status at the soap (she was take off contract) on her Facebook page.
How do you feel Charleson's contract status change?
I was under the impression that the announcement of my contract status was not going to be released by Soaps in Depth magazine until the September issue and that would give me the time to tell you myself what was going on. I did not want you to find out on the Internet. Unfortunately, that did not happen and yes, it is true. I am officially off contract.
I have had the best relationships with you, the fans and I would've never had that without "Monica." There is nothing that I cherish more than the experiences and memories I have had and the special friends that I have made over the years, both on the show and off. I can't say enough about how much you all mean to me.

CLASSIC ATWT Photo of the Day: Frankie Michaels
Frankie Michaels played young Tom Hughes on AS THE WORLD TURNS from 1964 to 1966. Fortunately for us, there exist several episodes of his wonderful performances as this troubled young man coping with a life of divorced parents, something of a rarity in the 1960s. Concurrently with his soap role, Frankie originated the role of "Young Patrick" in the Broadway musical "Mame," capturing a Tony Award for his performance. To date, he remains the youngest performer ever (age 10) to win a Tony Award.
Although he largely dropped out of show business as he entered his teens, Frankie performed at a tribute to Angela Lansbury in early 2010 alongside one of his "Mame" co-stars (and former soap actor) Jerry Lanning. Check out a photo here.

Catching Up With ONE LIFE'S Jessica Leccia, Part Two
In Part One of our interview with this enchanted daytime star, Jessica Leccia updated us on season two of VENICE and shared reflections on Inez's abuse on ONE LIFE TO LIVE. In this final part she discusses Inez's future, and which ABC soaps she watched growing up. Was what her favorite ONE LIFE storyline? Read below to find out!
We Love Soaps: And what I love about soaps is that they can tell a complex story like this over time, versus a two hour movie. I know a lot of our readers can relate to this situation.
Jessica Leccia: You have also seen the story manifested in the behavior of the boys and all the things they go through and how they relate to people and the world. It’s very interesting.
We Love Soaps: I wonder if Inez has any good things coming up?
Jessica Leccia: Me too! She has fun things happening. She’s trying to assimilate with her children, figure out her place, and re-form a family that was never fully formed. But in the meantime she’s in a new town, meeting new people, trying to work, support her family.
We Love Soaps: Is there any one who is catching her eye romantically?
Jessica Leccia: Sure! There are some handsome men in Llanview. How would one not notice?
We Love Soaps: My understanding is that Eddie cast her out when she was pregnant because he thought Nate could have been fathered by a different person. In your mind, is that a possibility?

After the death of Jim Lowell, she married Dr. Doug Cassen, and after his death, she married the scheming Dr. Michael Shea and was embroiled in a fantastic love triangle with Lisa. Claire turned to drink when Michael's attentions turned to Lisa, and Ellen long blamed Lisa for causing her mother such extreme heartbreak which, Ellen believed, contributed to her mother's death.
After being killed off of AS THE WORLD TURNS as Claire, Barbara Berjer had long running roles on both GUIDING LIGHT (as Holly's mother Barbara Norris) and ANOTHER WORLD (as Bridget Connell).

I'm somewhat nervous about this predicament but will be less so if people that I deeply care about show up......
I will be aided and abetted by

Rumor Alert: Is Roger Howarth Coming Back To ONE LIFE?
The rumors about Roger Howarth's alleged return to ONE LIFE TO LIVE are circulating fast and furious. Is he coming back? Is he really Todd? Is Tea going to hallucinate him? And if they bring Roger Howarth back as Todd then who could be next? Mia Korf as Blair?
In my opinion, this story could work, IF Roger Howarth returns as Walker, Mitch Laurence's long-lost brother. As OLTL viewers recall, Todd Manning (off camera) got plastic surgery in early 2003 to make himself look like Walker Laurence, and came to town (as Trevor St. John) to flirt with Blair (and Dorian!). If Walker decided to get plastic surgery to look like Todd's former self (Howarth) for revenge, then all hell would delightfully break loose in Llanview.
What would NOT work in this case is a DAYS-style faux-Roman story. For those not familiar, Drake Hogestyn was successfully recast as Roman Brady in 1986 after Wayne Northrop left the role. When Wayne wanted back on the show in 1991, the writers concocted a wild retcon in which Drake was not really Roman Brady, and everyone in town had been fooled for five years (including his wife Marlena!). For OLTL to pull the same stunt with Todd Manning would be unwise and an insulting slap in the face to viewers who have embraced St. John in this role.
What do YOU think? Does Roger Howarth fit into the current landscape of Llanview? And do you want him back as Todd, Walker, or someone else?

Support THE BAY!
To all the WE LOVE SOAPS TV viewers:
You have read the interviews with Mary Beth Evans and Lane Davies. You are sitting on the edge of your seats for our upcoming interviews with Matt Ashford and Nicolas Coster. You are upset about the end of AS THE WORLD TURNS and want to see soaps grow and thrive, instead of facing a cancellation notice every year.
The good news about the internet and new web series are their ability to tell new and compelling stories with actors you love, and no network interference. But in order to sustain these efforts, it more necessary than ever to show support so they can sustain the creativity and talent that makes the work possible.
THE BAY has started a kickstarter campaign to help raise funds for an explosive season finale. They have so far raised $9,891, but need $5,109 to make it to the goal of $15,000 by September 5th. Please consider making a donation of ANY amount to make this possible. If everyone reading this donated one dollar, they would have no problem making their goal.
So if you have ever been touched by the work Mary Beth Evans (Kayla, DAYS), Tristan Rogers (Scorpio, GH), Lilly Melgar (Lily, GH), Martha Madison (Belle, DAYS), Charles Shaughnessy (Shane, DAYS), Nicolas Coster & Lane Davies (Lionel & Mason, SB), Jackie Zeman (Bobbie, GH), Lesli Kay (Molly, ATWT), Matthew Borlenghi (Ziggy, B&B), Matt Ashford (Jack, DAYS) and many others, then click here and help THE BAY make their goal.

Where In The World Is Robert Bogue?
Robert Bogue who played A.C. Mallet on GUIDING LIGHT from 2007 until it ended in 2009 is set to appear at the Provincetown Tennessee Williams Theater Festival on September 26. He will be starring with multiple award-winning actress Dana Ivey in a staged reading of Tennessee Williams’ “Suddenly Last Summer,” for one performance only. He will be playing the role of Dr. ‘Sugar’ Cukowicz, the role made famous by Montgomery Clift in the film.
Bogue says, “Having the opportunity to call myself an actor has been good. Making a living as a TV actor is great. Having the opportunity to speak the hypnotic poetry of Tennessee Williams is...priceless.”
Since GUIDING LIGHT ended, Bogue has been busy doing commercial voice-overs for Charles Schwab, Hyundai and Hertz. He appeared as Johnny in the movie The Good Guy, and also starred in the indie web series ALL'S FAIRE.

Catching Up With ONE LIFE'S Jessica Leccia, Part One
Jessica Leccia needs no introduction for viewers of WE LOVE SOAPS TV. The enchanted actress soared in popularity last year thanks due to groundbreaking and heart wrenching "Otalia" story on GUIDING LIGHT. One year later she is back as an abuse survivor on ONE LIFE TO LIVE and has some new stories to tell. Please join us for this special interview in which we discuss her return to daytime television, her role on VENICE THE SERIES, as well as her perspective on playing an abused woman.
We Love Soaps: It’s so wonderful to talk with you again. We have missed you this past year. Can you believe it’s been a year since the last day of shooting GUIDING LIGHT? I can’t believe your baby is already one-year-old.
Jessica Leccia: She’s toddling around, she’s staying stuff. That all happened at the same time. So what could have been the saddest time ever wasn’t. It really helped that I had the baby go home to since I was saying goodbye to GUIDING LIGHT and all the people there.
We Love Soaps: In between you have been working on VENICE. Your character had one of my favorite lines of the season. Toward the end Gina says to Ani, “you’re back,” to which Ani replies, “I didn’t go anywhere.”
Jessica Leccia: Was that your favorite line? I didn’t know where you were going there.
We Love Soaps: I liked it because it was so naturally awkward. How is the new season of VENICE going?
Jessica Leccia: It’s going really well. It’s this love project that a bunch of us clamored on to. Crystal is really smart and she got a lot of people that were really smart too. I’m not talking about myself. I’m just an opportunist. But I think it turned out really well, we are all really excited about it. There are lots of familiar faces, including Hillary [B. Smith] and Gina [Tognoni]. We go off, have a vacation, then we come back to work. It’s a lot of fun.

FLASHBACK: Larry Bryggman 1974
The Two Faces of Larry BryggmanBy Bill Waitzkin
Daily TV Serials
September 1974, Vol. 2, No. 9
"I really believed that music was where it was at for me until the drama coach at City College in San Francisco where I studied approached me about doing a play for the school. I decided to give it a try and became completely submerged in acting. I did several other plays and soon I was no longer a music major."
"My first major role was Pozzo in Becket's 'Waiting for Godot.' Actually, I have probably played the part of Pozzo longer and more often than any other American Actor."

MISS BEHAVE Triples Cast For Upcoming Season Two
Familiar faces are joining the popular web soap MISS BEHAVE, and the creator couldn't be happier. “Our teen show has become the little engine that could” says creator and executive producer Susan Bernhardt. She continues “I think most people were surprised at the quality of our production and once they saw it they knew we were really on to something and they wanted to be part of it.”
Stars from the soap world, primetime and the silver screen will be guest starring on the second season of MISS BEHAVE, which is currently in production. DAYS OF OUR LIVES star Eric Martsolf will be joining the cast as Marcus Dunne, a famous movie star who is represented by the Queen, the mother of Tori Archer (perfectly portrayed by our lead Jillian Clare). Kyle Kaplan, most recently a series regular on the ABC Family show 10 THINGS I HATE ABOUT YOU, will be playing a DJ, his other real-life passion. Teen star and executive producer Jillian Clare adds “So many of our new cast members have been my friends for many years – it's so exciting to finally all work together on such an amazing indie project!” New next door neighbor to our lead Dylan (Brett DelBuono) is Sam, played by Madisen Beaty, most recognized as the star of Lifetime's Pregnancy Pact, and the younger version of Daisy in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Sure to bring comedic relief to the heavy drama unfolding in second season is real life publicist Chris Rossi who guest stars in several episodes as Jorge, the over-worked event planner sent by the Queen to oversee Tori's birthday party. Also adding laughs is internet sensation Carol Ann McCracken (MCCRACKEN LIVE) as herself who said "I had an absolute ball working with the amazing cast, crew, and production team of Miss Behave! I wish a show like this existed when I was a teenager...5 years ago. Ms. McCracken loves Miss Behave!"

CLASSIC ATWT Photo of the Day: Henderson Forsythe
Dr. David Stewart arrived in Oakdale in 1960 with his first wife Betty and their sons Dan and Paul. It turned out that Dan was actually Ellen's biological son that she had given up for adoption. Ellen sued for custody and lost, but after Betty died, Ellen eventually married David after she was released from prison for killing housekeeper Franny Brennan (who had threatened to reveal Ellen's secret). David and Ellen had two daughters of their own, Carol Anne (Annie) and Dawn (Dee).
Although Ellen and David were mainly supporting characters throughout the 1970s, they took center stage once again in the early 1980s when David lost his memory (enter Linda Dano) and the pair divorced and eventually remarried.
Actor Henderson Forsythe had an active theatre career outside of AS THE WORLD TURNS, appearing in the original broadway production of "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf" opposite Eileen Fulton in the 1960s and winning a Tony Award for "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas."

James Rebhorn Returning to AS THE WORLD TURNS
In a strange bit of casting news, Soap Opera Digest is reporting that James Rebhorn is returning to AS THE WORLD TURNS on September 8 and 9 before the show goes off the air. The twist is that he's not going to be playing his memorable character from the past, Henry Lange. Instead he is coming on as Reid's estranged Uncle Angus. It isn't uncommon for soaps to bring back a memorable actor in a new role, but some work better than others - Jordan Clarke returning to GUIDING LIGHT as Billy Lewis comes to mind. What actor who returned to a soap years later as a new character was your favorite?

CLASSIC ATWT Photo of the Day: Richard Holland (Don Hughes)

Unlike the role of Bob, inhabited by Don Hastings since 1960, the role of Donald Hughes has been played by many different actors over the years. Pictured here with with the rest of the Hughes Family is Richard Holland who played the role from 1956 to 1962. Holland was a mathematical prodigy, and became a teenage teacher at the University of Wisconsin and lecturer at Columbia University after graduating from college at age 17. Prior to ATWT, Holland had roles on SEARCH FOR TOMORROW, THE INNER FLAME and THE GUIDING LIGHT. He later went on to write for soaps including A WORLD APART and ALL MY CHILDREN.
Last played by Conard Fowkes from 1978 to 1981, with a few subsequent guest spots, the character of Don Hughes had unsuccessful marriages to Janice and Joyce, and love affairs with Lisa, Ellen, Sara and Amanda, among others, before finally settling down with Mary.
The Ellen/Don pairing was only one of many times members of the Hughes clan were romantically involved with someone from the Stewart/Lowell clan: Jim Lowell/Edith Hughes, Ellen/Don, Tom/Emily, Bob/Susan, and finally Casey/Allison.

NEWS: Broomall, Fake Marriage, Sherry Vine, Bierdz on Return
Ex-boyfriend testifies that Mexican soap actress had fake marriage to stay in US
Markus Klinko, who stars in the Bravo reality television show DOUBLE EXPOSURE, said Fernanda Romero told him in early 2006 that she was married, even though she and Klinko were involved in an intimate relationship. Romero has had roles in several films, but is better-known for appearing in the Mexican TV Azteca soap ETERNAMENTE TUYA.
"Being a soap opera actress it was very easy for her to pretend," Klinko said. "But she had to coach her fake husband."
Thom Bierdz on Phillip's return to THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS
"We get to see more areas of Phillip that we haven’t seen before. We see more humor in him, more emotion as well and more vulnerability this time. When I went back last year after being away 20 years and I was a gay character and a gay man, I didn’t want to make Phillip vulnerable like he was 20 years ago, because we wanted the audience to realize gay men could be strong. Some of the fans thought I was a bit cold so I added more vulnerability this time. It just totally makes sense. Phillip is still a strong gay man, but he’s wounded and there are times he has to show that. There is some various serious stuff that comes up in the next month."

Agnes Nixon among Library of American Broadcasting honorees
The annual Giants of Broadcasting library fundraising event will be held in New York in October. Charles Osgood will again emcee. The honorees this year also include Dick Clark, Sam Donaldson, Hal Jackson, Norman Corwin, Eddie Fritts, Lesley Stahl and — posthumously — Rue McClanahan, Daniel Schorr, Art Linkletter and David Wolper.
More on soap star Gabriela Spanic being poisoned by assistant she hired to spy on her twin
According to police, Marcia Celeste Fernández Babio. had begun lacing the Spanic family’s food with ammonium sulphate, an ingredient in rat poison. Over the last four months, the Spanic household – including Gabriela’s two-year-old son, her mother and her maid – grew gravely ill. Their suspicions were raised by two curiosities: none of them had ever seen Babio eating or drinking inside the house; and she was the only one living there not wracked by stomach pain and headaches.

CLASSIC ATWT Photo of the Day: Eileen Fulton

Although Lisa Miller was not daytime television's first villainess (for example, LOVE OF LIFE's Meg having beat her to the screen a good decade earlier), there was something magical in Eileen Fulton's portrayal of this southern vixen which riveted viewers and kept AS THE WORLD TURNS at the top of the ratings throughout the 1960s and most of the 1970s. She even had her own primetime spinoff, OUR PRIVATE WORLD.
In her heyday, she had more husbands and lovers than anyone can ever be expected to keep track of, and as her love life petered out, she managed to transform herself into a successful business woman, owning, at various times, Fashions, the yacht club, a newspaper, the Lakeview Hotel, a restaurant, and various nightclubs.
Sadly, we haven't seen much of Lisa in the last several years, and it does not appear that she will find one last night in shining armor before the series end. I'd always hoped she would find her way back to Grant Colman somehow.
What was your favorite Lisa romance?

CLASSIC ATWT Photo of the Day: Don Hastings
Simply stated, Don Hastings is the history of American television personified in one man. He started his television career back in 1948 (!) as one of the stars of CAPTAIN VIDEO (along with Nat Polen, who played Dr. Cassen on ATWT for many years), and continued on that series until 1955. He wasn't idle for long, as he was an original cast member of ATWT's sister show THE EDGE OF NIGHT, as Jack Lane, staying in the role until late 1960, when he joined AS THE WORLD TURNS as a slightly aged Bob Hughes.
Married to Lisa, Sandy, Jennifer, Miranda and, finally, Kim, Bob has been the eternal hero of ATWT. Although his screentime has been diminished in recent years, he still commands the screen when given a good script.

THE BAY The Series Interviews: Lane Davies, Part Four
In Parts One and Two, and Three of our interview with Lane Davies, the critically acclaimed and beloved actor discussed his career on DAYS OF OUR LIVES and SANTA BARBARA, as well as thoughts about the dumbing down of daytime. In the final part below, Davies discusses his time on GENERAL HOSPITAL, his new role on THE BAY, and making peace with Nancy Lee Grahn. Plus, who did he almost play on GUIDING LIGHT? Find out here! We Love Soaps: How did the role of Cameron Lewis on GENERAL HOSPITAL come about?
Lane Davies: I had a call from Jill [Farren Phelps] one day. We had stayed in touch over the years. She said, “I think I’ve got something for you.” At that time my friend Lucky Gold over at GUIDING LIGHT had also called and said, ‘We have something for you.” That went back and forth for a bit.
We Love Soaps: Do you remember what the role on GUIDING LIGHT would have been?
Lane Davies: They were looking for someone to work opposite Joan Collins (Alexandra). I’m not sure what happened with that.
We Love Soaps: That probably turned out for the best, she only lasted a couple of months on the show.
Lane Davies: That’s what I heard.
We Love Soaps: Over at GENERAL HOSPITAL you were reunited with many of your SANTA BARBARA costars, including Nancy Lee Grahn. What was it like to work with her again?

EMMERDALE’s Danny Miller Caught In Homophobic Attack
Danny Miller, who plays the gay character Aaron Livesy on the ITV1 soap Emmerdale, was attacked while out in Manchester by a group of men in who shouted gay slurs at the 19-year-old actor. An onlooker told The People: “It was terrifying. A group of lads shouted, ‘Oi gay boy, you out with your boyfriend tonight?’ “Another screamed, ‘Oi faggot, is that your boyfriend?’ Then the yobs started running and screaming, ‘Get him, get him.'”
Miller was apparently punched by at least one person in the mob. He tweeted about the incident later and reassured everyone that he was alright.
"Don't listen to what has been put on here tonight. I was attacked by a couple of lads tonight but managed to escape unharmed. Don't worry. Afraid to say it was EMMERDALE related. Not sure why though. Hadn't seen them before ever. Don't worry though."
Miller was out in Manchester to see his father, the comic Vince Miller, perform.
