ATWT's Eileen Fulton To Celebrate 50 Years With April Show

Eileen Fulton, who stars on the CBS-TV soap opera, AS THE WORLD TURNS, is returning to one of NYC’s premiere cabaret clubs, Don’t Tell Mama, beginning, Friday, April l6 – Sunday, April 18th in a special 3 day tribute concert, aptly titled, "AS THE WORLD TURNS - Celebrating her 50th years on the show."

The original “diva of daytime”, Fulton says of her show, “It’s bittersweet, yet wonderful to celebrate 50 years and what could be a more exciting time than during the AS THE WORLD TURNS Fan Club weekend, here in New York, where the show has originated from for all these years. I get to sing for and personally connect with all my long time devoted fans. The show is almost over, but I’m not over and I’m delighted to be able to present this tribute and spend time with everybody”.

Most recognized for her role as Lisa Grimaldi on the popular CBS soap, Fulton is also an established recording artist and cabaret performer as well as author of multiple books. She has also performed on stage in such Broadway productions as "Who’s Afraid of Virginia Wolf" as well as off-Broadway in "The Fantasticks." She has been the recipient of many prestigious awards such as, the Lifetime Achievement Award by the TV Academy and was also inducted into the Soap Opera Hall of Fame.

Fulton will add her signature flair to such classic standards as “Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered,” “Blue Moon,” ”Fever,” “How Long Has This Been Going On,” among others. Bob Goldstone is Musical Director, Ron Tierno on Drums and Tom Hubbard on Bass.

In addition to her fans seeing her perform “live” this month in concert, CBS’s AS THE WORLD TURNS and CBS.com have launched a casting call to celebrate this anniversary. “50 Fabulous Years With Lisa”, named after Fulton’s character, invites fans to upload videos of themselves performing cabaret songs to CBS.com. AS THE WORLD TURNS producers and fans will vote online for the winner. One lucky fan will perform with Ms. Fulton on the show on the CBS-TV Network, Tuesday, May 18th.

Don’t Tell Mama will present Eileen Fulton: A Special Tribute To As The World Turns on Friday, April 16th, 7 p.m., Saturday, April 17th, 8:30 p.m. and Sunday, April 18th, 4 p.m. The show has a $25 music charge with a two drink minimum.
