Actress Sandra Robinson (ex-Amanda, ANOTHER WORLD) worked closely with three legendary ladies who appeared on the 50 Greatest Soap Actresses list. We asked her to comment on each of them.Linda Dano: Linda always seems to have a grasp on the best things in life, no matter what her circumstances. She lives full out and fearless and as a young bumbling actor on my first soap job, I was in awe of this quality. I seek to live every day like Linda Dano, with full appreciation of what is, and celebrating every opportunity that comes my way. The most charismatic thing about Linda is her ability to make you feel like you are a close friend, even if you have never met!
Constance Ford: Constance once gave me relationship advice, “A healthy relationship grows as two trees grow side by side. Both reaching for more light, but if one deliberately grows to hide the light from the other, the relationship ceases to be rewarding for both.” (a little leway here on the exact words... It’s been a while!) Simple, but I remember just relishing the moment that she had taken me under her wing and was giving me life advice! Then she went out and swore at all the people on set for running behind schedule! I loved her.
Victoria Wyndham: I always think of Victoria as a particularly strong influence on me at the start of my career. I was drawn to her confidence and her ability to command a room ( or a set! LOL). She has a fantastic quirky fun side to her personality, too, which endeared her to me forever!
