NEWS: Bell, Van Ark, 'ENDERS Live Bloopers, Lamas

EASTENDERS live gaffes caught by viewers
During the 30 minute live episode a number of bloopers happened. A nervous Scott Maslen, who plays ex-police officer Jack Branning, stumbled over his lines in the opening scene. Charlie Clements, whose character Bradley was dramatically killed off, moved his hand just moments after his on-screen death. Lacey Turner (Stacey) shouted “Charlie” instead of Bradley as he fell from the building.

Meanwhile June Brown, known to millions as Dot Cotton, forgot the name of her character’s granddaughter. And Ian Beale — the only character left to have appeared in the first episode in 1985 — shouted at his on-screen enemy Phil Mitchell to “slop it” instead of “stop it”.

INTERVIEW: Former KNOTS & Y&R actress Joan Van Ark
I loved Gloria, but I just felt like they were going in another direction with the character. I wanted her to be Anna Nicole Smith, Goldie Hawn and Drea de Matteo all rolled into one. But (the producers) were taking her to Joan Collins-shoulder-pads-via-bitch.

I’m spoiled because of KNOTS LANDING, where I had the blessing and joy of collaboration. We all got to contribute and collaborate (on the script). In daytime, there’s no such thing. (Y&R's producers) are wonderful, but it's more or less their way or the highway. I felt like a visitor (on Y&R). It’s a nice place to visit but I didn't want to live there.

Spotlight: Rising Star Rachel Moss
“Acting is like a sport, to be a professional at it, you need to practice. To get started, even if just as a hobby, do any community theater or workshops as possible, have patience and be able to accept criticism. But it’s a lot of fun. I say go for it!”

  1. Why does Lorenzo Lamas bother getting married? Is this his 4th or 6th marriage?
