Nelson's Soap Scrapbook #8 - ONE LIFE TO LIVE & ANOTHER WORLD 1987

Nelson Aspen dug into his scrapbooks for some memorabilia from his early showbiz career in Daytime TV and shares some of his personal photos exclusively with We Love Soaps. All photos are owned by Nelson. For more of his exploits, read "Hollywood Insider Exposed!"

We continue this series with photos from ONE LIFE TO LIVE and ANOTHER WORLD.

ONE LIFE TO LIVE, 1987. I had a recurring bit part as Viki Lord's hospital attendant (when she was in the coma) and also worked there as a Writer's & Casting Assistant. This is a snapshot of another writer's assistant, John Loprieno ("Cord") and Casting Director, Marie Brossard. I'd worked with John & Marie previously at SFT (he briefly played "Danny Sentell.")

ANOTHER WORLD, 1987. My first pal at AW was Philece Sampler, who'd just started as the new "Donna." Here we are competing in a contest to see whose waist was smaller. She won! But I think it was a draw when it came to whose hair was bigger!

  2. You're welcome! It certainly was an era of terrible fashion, but wonderful daytime drama! :)

  3. BTW, my friend Richard Schilling (former Producer @ PASSIONS and GH: NIGHT SHIFT) was able to identify the writer's assistant from OLTL: Margie Jacobs! He used to work there too in the old days!

  4. Nelson, I was wondering something. Didn't John Loprieno play Danny Walton, brother of Liza Sentell? Also, how's Mary Stuart's husband doing these 7-8 years later after Mary's passing? Thanks For These Wonderful Photos. I Still Miss Search Like Crazy!

  5. Yes, John did indeed play Danny (Cain DeVore was the previous "Danny") opposite Adam Storke's "Ryder" and Jane Krakowski's "TR." Mary's widower, Wolfgang, is doing very well...I see him for dinner every few months. We're still very close!
