Matt Crane Joins GOTHAM

In an exciting piece of indie soap casting news, former ANOTHER WORLD star Matt Crane, who played Matthew Cory on the soap, is the latest actor to join the cast of Martha Byrne's GOTHAM. He will play the role of Perry.

Crane first appeared on ANOTHER WORLD in March 1988 and played the role until March 1997. During that time, his character's romances included Donna Love, played by GOTHAM star Anna Stuart. His character was also married to Lila Roberts, played by GOTHAM star Lisa Peluso. Crane returned to the role in December 1998 for the show's last six months on the air.

He was nominated for a Young Arist Award and Soap Opera Digest Award during his run on the soap.

He appeared on GENERAL HOSPITAL in 2004 as Ross Duncan.

Crane is married to his former ANOTHER WORLD co-star Robin Christopher.

FYI: Dates here have to be scrambled up somehow!

SO excited that Matt is coming onboard GOTHAM! Loved him every day of his time on ANOTHER WORLD as Matthew Cory but his Dec. to May romance with Donna Love (played by the incomparable Anna Stuart) was one of many favorite storylines to me!

While I liked the Jake/Donna 'cougar' storyline better, Matt Crane was a wonderful Matt Cory. He is one of those 'wonder what ever happened to...' actors for me. So happy to see him joining GOTHAM!

I was working at AW when Matt joined the cast as a very welcome age-accelerated Matthew Cory. He was always a sweet and humble guy and used to take the train home on weekends (2 hrs!) to mow his parents' lawn! He turned into a good actor and remained a lovely person as long as I knew him.
