The Directors Guild of America handed our their 62nd Annual awards on Saturday night. And the winner for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Daytime Serials was the directing team from AS THE WORLD TURNS lead by Christopher Goutman.CHRISTOPHER GOUTMAN - AS THE WORLD TURNS - Episode #13,457 (CBS)
Mr. Goutman's Directorial Team:
Associate Directors: Michael Kerner, Carol Sedwick
Stage Managers: Nancy Barron, Jennifer Blood
Production Associates: Brett Hellman, Alexandra Von Roalsvig (co-creator of GOTHAM), Jared Lynch
This is Mr. Goutman's first DGA Award. It was his fourth DGA Award nomination. He was previously nominated in this same category for AS THE WORLD TURNS "Episode #12971" in 2007 "Episode #12,166" in 2004, and "Episode #10,446" in 1997.
The other daytime directing teams nominated were lead by Casey Childs (AMC), William Ludel (GH), Cynthia J. Popp (B&B), Sally McDonald (Y&R) and Dean Lamont (Y&R).
Lesli Linka Glatter of MAD MEN won for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Dramatic Series Night.
