  1. Wow, Imogene Coca! And nearly the whole cast. The only major people unaccounted for seem to be Dee, Lisa and Whit.

    It's strange how central the Stewarts were and how peripheral the Hughes were. In just a few years they will swap places.

    And its not an episode if Meg Ryan doesn't cry.

  2. This was just when the show was beginning to recover from the horrible Mary Ellis-Bunim regime, much like that of CG today. Kathyrn Hayes once stated in an interview for the shows 35th anniversary that the MEB period was a very dark one for the show. The following year (1984), when Susan Bedsow Horgan and Cynthia Benjamin became headwriters, Kim and Bob became a couple, which led to their wedding and the return of Don, Penny and Nancy Hughes for that event in 1985, just before Douglas Marland took over. But, nothing is as bad as it is now.

  3. 1996 was worse than any other year on WT, including the last several years.

    The MEB years must be the silver mine, the Mr. Big years, yes?
