INTERVIEW: David Andrew MacDonald

We Love Soaps attended the 23rd Annual Broadway Flea Market and Grand Auction on Sunday, September 27, and Damon L. Jacobs was able to spend a few minutes with GUIDING LIGHT star David Andrew MacDonald.

We Love Soaps: How are you doing with the ending of GUIDING LIGHT?
David Andrew MacDonald: Well, it's very sad that the show's ended. I've been very, very busy though. I've started up "Mamma Mia" at the beginning of this week so I'll be there for a year. I hope.

We Love Soaps: Which character are you in "Mamma Mia"?
David Andrew MacDonald: Harry. The Colin Firth role if you remember the movie. It's great fun. It's a great, great group of people. So that's softened the blow of the end of the show a little bit.

We Love Soaps: Unlike most of the characters in Springfield, Edmund was kind of left out there floating. Everyone kind of got closure except for Edmund. What do you think Edmund's doing now?
David Andrew MacDonald: People have been asking me. I personally think I'm on the Amalfi Coast probably with a drink in my hand and with the millions and millions of dollars he never actually had during the run of the show. I figure he's started a few charitable foundations and he's just taking percentages off the top.

We Love Soaps: Of course he is. And Jeffrey is still hunting him down?
David Andrew MacDonald: Probabably. I think Jeffrey is in South America looking for him.
