Following the Creative Emmys on Saturday evening at the Westin Bonaventure in Los Angeles, there was a nice cocktail and dinner reception. As we mingled our way through the crowd, Damon L. Jacobs and I met a Dayton, Ohio news anchor, Pete Scalia. Scalia, who has acted in the past and also does voice over work, shared a funny story with us. He attended the event with the voice of Bart Simpson, Nancy Cartwright (who presented several awards), and met several soap actors including Michelle Stafford. At one point he was looking to have a photo taken with Stafford and some other actresses so he asked a random guy nearby if he would take the photo. It turned out to be ONE LIFE TO LIVE executive producer Frank Valentini.
I shared with Scalia the story published last week about Valentini bringing on a former CNBC anchor (Ted David) to OLTL in September and suggested he try out for the show. If you're reading Mr. Valentini, here's your next star.
