Plot thickens on Thursday
Cable has broken through with another record primetime perf this summer, but soon the broadcasters will get their chance to shine. At least on Thursday night. When the fall season kicks off a month from now, the Thursday broadcast skeds will be stacked like no time in recent memory. Each network has added one piece to the night that strengthens its portfolio.

MELROSE PLACE lands Klein
Los Angeles-based, French Couturier Lloyd Klein is moving to MELROSE PLACE to create exclusive looks for the revamped TV show.

Klein, a favourite designer of Hayden Panettiere, Marissa Miller and Eva Longoria Parker, has been recruited to develop signature fashion pieces for Katie Cassidy's character Ella, a publicist known for creating trends.

Sharpe Twins (Aidan and Connor) play Baby Trevor on ALL MY CHILDREN
At just a few months of age, the boys started with ALL MY CHILDREN as the understudys to Baby Stuart, the son of attorney Liza Colby (Jamie Luner). But within nine days, the role of Baby Trevor was revealed and the Sharpe twins have been rotated in and out as Trevor.

“The producing team and directors said they never have had babies who are so alert,” the baby's father Ron Sharpe said. “They actually seem like they’re paying attention.”

Is AMC's Amanda beautiful but boring?
Examiner.com's Beth Moroney writes: "There's a reason why some story lines are front burners for years---it's mostly because the audience invests emotionally in the twists of fate, however contrived, that the character face. The best actors get thse plum roles, but characters like Amanda, who have been relegated to secondary roles should stay there."

Sonic Youth Will Perform on GOSSIP GIRL This Fall
Sonic Youth will perform an unplugged version of its1986 song "Starpower" for the CW’s GOSSIP GIRL this fall, reports Entertainment Weekly.

“We have a very special event coming in Episode 5 that we’re filming right now and they seemed the ideal musical guest for it,” EW quotes GOSSIP GIRL showrunner Stephanie Savage as saying.
