8 million accept invite to CORONATION STREET wedding
The tumultuous wedding of Steve McDonald and Becky Granger brought 8 million viewers to CORONATION on Friday. Friday's first installment of the ITV1 soap at 7.30pm drew an average of 8 million and a 43% share, according to unofficial overnights. This was up from the 7.2 million recorded in the same slot the previous week. CORRIE's second helping – in which the police raided the wedding reception and found drugs in Becky's handbag – then drew 7.6 million and 36% at 8.30pm.
